Hi friend,

As a prospective counsellor completing my practicum, I have a deep commitment to fostering environments where healing and self-discovery thrive.

My work is guided by a humanistic, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes empathy, active listening, and the belief that each person has the inherent capacity for growth and resilience. I aim to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued—free from judgment or pressure.

Outside of therapy, I find inspiration in creativity, art, community, and connection. I enjoy exploring different cultures, engaging in artistic exploration, watching iconic K-POP music videos, spending time with my dog (son) Leo and celebrating the richness that diversity brings to the human experience. These values guide my approach as a counsellor, reminding me of the importance of openness, authenticity, and compassion in every interaction. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you on your path toward healing and self-discovery. Together, we can uncover insights, embrace your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and fulfilling. No matter where you are in your journey, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Life can sometimes pull us away from our true selves, especially when our differences or pain are met with misunderstanding or judgment. For so many, societal norms and a lack of safe spaces can create wounds that lead to disconnection and a loss of identity. I believe in the transformative power of a safe, compassionate space where you can reconnect with your authentic self and reclaim the sense of wholeness that may feel out of reach.

I specialize in supporting individuals who feel defined by their intersections and societal perceptions to rediscover their authentic identities while also helping them navigate and heal from the pain that being different in society may have caused. Additionally, my specialty extends to those with emotional challenges and complex trauma. My work centers on creating a space where clients can process the challenges and emotional wounds tied to feeling marginalized or misunderstood, empowering them to embrace their uniqueness and find strength in their individuality. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness techniques are central to my practice, as they provide practical tools for emotional regulation and self-compassion while empowering clients to create meaningful change. I recently earned a Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery Certificate from Harvard University, which has broadened my understanding of trauma and its profound impact on individuals across cultures and communities.

My passion for supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, especially 2STQI+ individuals, stems from a transformative experience supporting someone close to me. This journey ignited my commitment to advocating for those who often feel unseen in a world that fails to celebrate their uniqueness. I understand how societal pressures, prejudice, and exclusion can compound trauma, and I strive to provide a sanctuary where clients can explore their identities with courage and confidence.

Growing up in a culturally Iranian household as the child of immigrant parents, I have firsthand knowledge of how cultural identity and intersectionality shape our lives and inform our stories. This background inspires me to honor the diverse lived experiences of my clients, whether they are navigating cultural dynamics, family relationships, or broader systems of oppression.
